Watseka Police Department News 9/10/18

Police took a report in the 600 block of E. Lincoln at 7:44 am of a vehicle passing a School Bus that was loading children.

Police responded to the area of 4th and Elm at 7:50 am in reference to a reckless driver.

Police responded to a residence In the 300 block of N. 8th St. In reference to a Physlcal Domestic Dispute at 1:48pm, Arrested was Donald Branch, 45, Watseka, for Domestic Battery, Possession of

Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and

Possesslon of a Controlled Substance, He was transported to the County Jail where he Is being held,

Police Investigated a complaint of dogs locked in a kennel in the 600 block of E. Oak at 2:52pm.The matter was turned over to Animal Control.

Police took a report at WPD at 4:38 pm In reference to an argument that started over Facebook,

Police responded to a neighborhood dispute in the 300 block of E. Cherry St. at S:S8 pm. Police took a report of an Ordinance Violation in the 300 Block of N. Kay St. at 6:09 pm,

Police responded to a neighborhood dispute In the 300 block of N. Kay St. at 6;14 pm.

Police located an open door on a business in the 1400 block Of West Lafayette at 8:36 pm. The door was secured.

Police located a suspicious vehlcle In Kay Park at 11:27 pm, The subjects were advlsed the park was closed and told to leave,

Police responded to a Domestic Disturbance in the 500 block of N, 5th St. at 1:46 am. Police responded to a motorists assist In the ISOO block of E. Walnut at 2:09 am,

Police located a suspicious vehicle in Legion Park at 8:58 am. Subjects were advised to leave the area,

Police responded to a 911 call in the 300 block of E, Walnut at 12:40 pm,

Police were requested to perform a welfare check In the 400 block of E. Oak at 12:52 pm,

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle In the 100 block of E. Ash at 7;42 am,

Pollce responded to a residence in the 400 block of S, Third at 9:29 am in reference to vandalism to a vehicle.

Police responded to a commerclal burglar alarm at a business in the 1200 block of E. Walnut at 9:32 am,

Police responded to an auto accldent In the 300 block of E. walnut at 1:59 pm, According to reports Jason Long, 37, Watseka, advised his car accelerated causing him to loose control and strike a curb. No cltations or injuries reported and damage was in excess of $1500,00

Police responded to an accident at the Intersection of Martin Ave. and Belmont at 3:21 pm. According to reports a vehicle operated by Leevl Bruens, 16, Watseka, was stopped at a stop slgn when he was rear ended by a vehicle being operated by Kara Florlant, 16, Watseka. No injuries or citations reported damage was estimated at less than $1500.00,

Pollce assisted a disabled vehicle on RT 24 at the west city limlts at 9:01 pm.

Police took a report of a famlly problem at WPD at 12:27 pm,

Police responded to an unwanted person In the 200 block of E. Sheridan at 1;00 pm. The subJect had left prior to Police arrival.

Police responded to a fight in progress In the 400 block of N, 5th St. at 3:32 pm in which one of the subjects had been stabbed, After an Investlgatlon on the scene Police arrested Natasha Loucks, 33 Watseka, for Aggravated Battery. She was transported to the County Jail where she is being held, The victim was transported to IMH by IMH EMS and treated for several cuts on her body.

Police responded to a resldence In the 300 block of W, North St, at 6:49 pm In reference to a subject finding her cat deceased and thought It may have been poisoned,

Police conducted a traffic stop at 11.281 pm on Rte. 24 near old Rte, 24, A verbal Warning was issued for Improper Passlnga

Police responded to the 100 block of W. Park Ave at 11:35 pm In reference to a fight in progress Involving several persons, On arrival Police were not able to locate anyone in the area.

Police Investigated a suspicious vehicle on railroad property in the 100 block of W. Park at 11:44 pm, It was found to be a railroad employee checking equipment,
