Daniel J. Gutierrez, 38, of Watseka passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home in Watseka. He was born September 16, 1980 in Chicago, the son of Javier and Michele (Coffey) Gutierrez.
Daniel is survived by his fiancé, Rosalinda Medina of Sheldon; two sons, Daniel Joss Gutierrez and Ivory Jesus Gutierrez, both of Sheldon; mother, Michele Mayo of Watseka; father, Javier Gutierrez of Chicago; five sisters, Julia (Harry) Gutierrez-Griffin of Bluffton, SC, Samantha Copeland of Champaign, Camillea Gutierrez-Petersen of Fowler, IN, Veronica Gutierrez of Beaufort, SC, and Sandra (Malcom) Gutierrez-Fogle of Eva, AL; one brother, Jacob Mayo of Bluffton, SC; two nieces; and seven nephews.
Mr. Gutierrez was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; step-father, Clyde R. Mayo Jr; and God Mother, Rhonda Ruano.
Daniel attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilman. He enjoyed photography and cooking. Daniel was a loving son, caring brother, and devoted father to his children.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Funeral mass will be held following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilman, also on Wednesday. Fr. Michael Powell will officiate.
