Russell M. Williams, 86, of Woodland passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home. He was born June 6, 1932 in Martinton, the son of Elmer M. and Opal V. (Younker) Williams. He married Cora A. Enlow on June 20, 1951 in Watseka and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elmer (Anna) Williams; one sister, Oleda (Ben) Daro; and two grandchildren, Shelley Renee Hendricks and Steven Zachery Smith.

He is survived by two daughters, Robin (Scott) Bohlmann of Woodland and Mary Lou Presley of Alexander City, AL; two sons, George Williams of Woodland and Michael Williams of Sheldon; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Williams was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woodland, a pressman at Uarco for 27 years, and the mayor of Woodland for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry work.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Body Cemetery in Woodland. Rev. Milt Leppert will officiate.
