Gary Allen Griswold, 73, of Claytonville passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born September 10, 1945 in Paxton, the son of Harold and Juanita Forrest Griswold and they preceded him in death.

He married Margaret “Maggie” Barnett on January 20, 1973 in Griffith, IN and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Sarah (Adam) Schleef of Onarga; two grandchildren, Gracie Elizabeth and Benjamin Adam Schleef; and two sisters, Judy (Bill) Putnam of Hoopeston and Peg (Larry) Hofbauer of Cissna Park.

Gary served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Cissna Park United Methodist Church. Along with his wife, he owned and operated Griswold Feed, Inc. since 1992.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Cissna Park United Methodist Church. Rev. Charlie Graul will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
