Ila L. Bailey, 91, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. She was born April 6, 1927 in Odell, the daughter of Harley and Hattie (Branz) Shelton and they preceded her in death. Ila married Earnest Bailey in Emington, Illinois on June 8, 1946 and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, James (Judy) Bailey of Ashkum; six daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Hughey of Wilmette, Cynthia Curl of Chebanse, Elaine (Robert) Tammen of Danforth, Ila Jayne (Russell) Hiatt of Danville, Lois (Todd) Bayston of Kankakee, and Marjorie (Kevin) Clabby of Chebanse; one brother, Fred Shelton of Dwight, 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Ila was a member of First United Methodist Church in Watseka. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Robert Sabo will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date.
