Lucille E. Foreman, 93 of Watseka

Lucille E. Foreman, 93 of Watseka, peacefully entered heaven on July 31, 2018.

She was born January 27, 1925 in Vermont, Illinois to parents Ada (Harmon) Miner and Henry Earl “Buck” Miner.

She was united in marriage to Lester W. Foreman on September 29, 1945 in Sheldon, Illinois.  They remained happily married for 57 years until his passing on January 20, 2003.

Lucille helped farm with her husband.  She enjoyed gardening with her Mother-in-Law, Alma Foreman, reading, making afghans for family members, traveling, and all her Scottish Terriers.  She also enjoyed many games of Uno with her caregiver, Patty, and going out to lunch.  She was a member of the Fun Club and enjoyed the meetings and birthday breakfasts.  She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Watseka and attended the Pittwood Christian Church for many years.

Surviving are her two sons, Denny (Debby) Foreman of Watseka, Terry Foreman of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Kathy (Michael) Caplis of Glenview, IL; grandchildren, Drew (Jodi) Foreman of Peoria, Sara Foreman of Watseka; and great-granddaughter, Blakely Foreman of Peoria. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Baier Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be private with internment at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois.

Memorials may be made to the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka or Prairie State Christian Service Camp in Watseka.  Flowers will be donated to the Iroquois Resident Home.
