Gerald A. Butturff, 81, of Onarga passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born July 11, 1936 in Lima, OH, the son of Harold and Sarah May Strawbridge Butturff and they preceded him in death in addition to one brother, Roger Butturff.

He married Mary Wilkey Doyle on August 3, 1993 in Clifton and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Karen Hess of Mokena; one son, Michael (Debbie) Butturff of Maryville, WA; one step-daughter, Angela Whitlock of Chenoa; one step-son, Darrel Doyle of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Ralph (Maxine) Butturff of Waynesfield, OH; one sister, Janet Mayotte of Pandora, OH; sister-in-law, Cheryl Butturff of Lima, OH; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Butturff served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Gerald retired from Chanute Air Force Base after 23 years of service.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga. Rev. Pete Hinrich will officiate.
