Norvell E. Blanchard, 93, of Wellington passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his home in Wellington. He was born on June 23, 1924 in VanDuser, MO, the son of Elves and Ella (Campbell) Blanchard. He married Ruth Brown on June 29, 1946 and was married to her for 45 years until she passed away on November 18, 1991. He later married Della Huffman.

In addition to his wife of 26 years, Della Blanchard, he is also survived by two daughters, Terry (Roger) Bowyer of Cedar Lake, IN and Teena (Michael) Finton of Cedar Lake, IN; three step-sons, Rick Huffman, Alan Huffman, and Tim Huffman; five grandchildren, Shannon Finton, Nicole Finton, Stephen Blanchard, Heather Anderson, and Scott Blanchard; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth; three brothers; five sisters; and one son, Tony Blanchard.

Mr. Blanchard raised his family in Cedar Lake, IN. He later retired to Momence for a period of time before moving to Wellington. Norvell enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Private family services have been handled by the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
