Frances R. Strean, 80, of Iroquois passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on April 24, 1938 in Sheldon, the daughter of Wilbur and Katherine (Mohler) Hall. She married James E. Strean Sr. in Sheldon on June 30, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are one son, James “Jim” Strean (Marie Ross) of Enos, IN; one grandson, Dustin Strean (Christine Bond) of Lake Village, IN; and one great-granddaughter, Chelsea Strean.

Mrs. Strean was a member of the United Methodist Church in Iroquois. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time with her friends and family. She loved her dog, Tiny.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois. Rev. Vicki Killus will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Iroquois or Concord Twp. Fire Department.

Arrangements are being handled by the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
