Bennett Engle Willis, 66, of Watseka passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at his home. He was born May 11, 1951 in Watseka, the son of Bennett Engle and Irene Gum Willis Jr. and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill McGary and Bob McGary; and three sisters, Sheila Corke, Carroll Wessels and Shirley Savoree.
He married Teresa Denise Gossett on May 18, 1985 in Watseka and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Tim Willis of Manhattan, Keith (Jamie) Willis of Clifton and David (Karen) Willis of St. Anne; one daughter, Denise (Jim) Janssen of Pekin; and nine grandchildren, Corey Willis, Jacob Willis, Tyler Willis, Blake Willis, Kodie Willis, Hannah Marcier, Abbi Marcier, Alex Willis and Drew Willis.
Mr. Willis was a graduate of Watseka Community High School. He worked at BASF for 43 years as a chemical worker. Bennett loved his family, shooting guns, bowling, dancing, playing cards, and Mustangs.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Jerry Parker will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
