ATLANTA -- Cubs catcher Willson Contreras helped Chicago throw out two runners at home plate and another at third base before rallying for two runs in the ninth inning. After Ronald Acuna Jr. homered against Carl Edwards Jr. (2-0) for a 2-1 lead in the eighth, Albert Almora Jr. and Addison Russell hit consecutive doubles and Ben Zobrist came through with a two-out, run-scoring single off Arodys Vizcaino (1-2). Brandon Morrow got three outs for his 10th save.

TWINS 4, CARDINALS 1

MINNEAPOLIS -- Bobby Wilson hit his first home run since Sept. 21, 2016, for Tampa Bay, a two-run drive off Luke Gregerson that capped a three-run seventh. Jose Berrios (4-4) surrendered one run on two hits and struck out 10, leaving after hitting Kolten Wong with a pitch with one out in the eighth. Addison Reed struck out both batters he faced and Fernando Rodney retired three straight batters for his eighth save. Brett Cecil (0-1) allowed a double to Logan Morrison starting the seventh, and Morrison scored on Byron Buxton's bunt attempt when Gregerson threw the ball wide of first and into foul territory for an error.

PIRATES 7, WHITE SOX 0

PITTSBURGH -- Trevor Williams (5-2) scattered six hits in seven innings, and Adam Frazier homered to start a four-run first. Chicago has lost eight of nine and 12 of 14, dropping to a major league-worst 10-28. The White Sox have matched the poorest 38-game start in team history, in 1948. Reynaldo Lopez (0-3) gave up six runs and seven hits with two walks in two-plus innings.

SEATTLE (AP) -- Seattle Mariners All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano was suspended 80 games for violating baseball's joint drug agreement. Cano tested positive for a diuretic THAT HE SAID was given to me by a licensed doctor in the Dominican Republic to treat a medical ailment.

NBA

BOS 107, CLE 94 - Jaylen Brown scored 23 points and Boston withstood a 42-point night by LEBRON James to beat Cleveland 107-94 on Tuesday and take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals. Terry Rozier added 18 points, while Al Horford finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Boston improved to 9-0 this postseason at TD Garden. The Celtics have never blown a 2-0 series lead in the playoffs.

BASKETBALL

CHICAGO (AP) - Phoenix has won the No. 1 pick in next month's NBA draft. Sacramento will pick No. 2 and Atlanta got the No. 3 pick. The top three spots were determined by the lottery, and then spots 4-14 fell in line of reverse order of record. THE BULLS PICK IS 7 . . . The draft is June 21 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
